Earthquake / Tsunami Information
The Japan-America Society of Indiana (JASI) has established a statewide Japan Earthquake Relief Fund to provide assistance to the people of Japan in the region most directly impacted by the catastrophic magnitude 9 earthquake and the resulting tsunami and aftershocks. Contributions can be made through our website by following the link below. Additionally, JASI has partnered with major banks Chase, Fifth Third, Old National and PNC to make the fund conveniently accessible for Indiana residents statewide, with donations accepted at all branches of those four financial institutions across the state. The Society will distribute 100% of the funds in a timely manner to carefully selected Japanese relief organizations assisting the affected areas.
Several leading Indiana businesses have set up matching employee gift programs for the Japan Earthquake Relief Fund, and universities, communities, and other not-for-profit organizations are also partnering with the JASI in their respective fundraising efforts.

Becoming a Collaborating Partner
We welcome groups to become a collaborating partner for the Japan Earthquake Relief Fund. Please contact the JASI office at 317-635-0123 or by email at admin@japanindiana.org so that we can officially include you in the effort.

Download this card to get contact information from donors who would like their name to be included on the donor list and / or receive an acknowledgement for tax purposes. When your fundraising campaign is complete, please send the forms you have gathered to JASI and we will provide the acknowledgement to the donors.
