Signing of Condolence Book for the Victims of the
Tohoku Pacific Ocean Earthquake

Message from the Consulate General of Japan at Chicago:

Japan has suffered an unspeakable tragedy.  The loss of so many lives is beyond comprehension.  It is the largest earthquake in Japanese history.

The outpouring of heartfelt support from around the world including the United States as well as Chicago and the Midwest is deeply appreciated.

In memory of those who have lost their lives, the Consulate General of Japan at Chicago will have a Condolence Book available for signing on March 17 (Thursday), 18 (Friday), 21 (Monday), 22 (Tuesday), and 23 (Wednesday) from 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon and from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The book will be at the Japan Information Center of the Consulate General of Japan at Chicago, 737 North Michigan Avenue, Suite 1000, Chicago, Illinois.
