Spring Family Concert
with Piano and Ocarina

Kozo Kaneko, one of Japan's premier pianists will perform on Saturday, April 21st in Columbus and Sunday, April 22nd in Carmel. Hiromi Mori, a Columbus resident, will accompany on the Ocarina. There is no admission charge for both locations.

This concert will be a great opportunity for your children and family to listen to performances by a professional pianist and an ocarina player!

Kozo Kaneko
Since his debut in Kobe, Japan in 1993, Mr. Kaneko has been an active pianist, whose talent has made him one of the most unique performers in Japan.    Mr. Kaneko earned his degree in Piano Performance from the Osaka College of Music, and has won many other honors and awards.  Honors include:  Master Players International Competition -Prize of Honor, Valsolda, Italy; Tokitada Sakai Music award, Hyogo, Japan; Chinese Music Competition Winner, Kobe, Japan.  Kozo has performed in solo recitals in Prague, Lugano, Nice, Tokyo, Osaka, Shanghai. and Rumania.

We are very fortunate to be able to bring Mr. Kaneko to Asbury.  We thank Hiroko Nakao, a good friend of Kozo and his wife, for making arrangements for his performance here.

Hiromi Mori

Hiromi Mori, now a Columbus resident, will play two selections accompanied by Mr. Kaneko.  The Ocarina she plays is three octaves, three blow holes and 21 finger holes.  Quite a bit different from the small Ocarinas formerly used by elementary students.  Mrs. Mori also plays the clarinet, piano, organ and harp. She has taught the Ocarina for 16 years and had over 100 students when she left Japan in 2010 to come to America due to her husband's job.
