Indiana . . . the crossroads of manufacturing, innovation, technology, sustainability, and collaboration. Explore these topics and industry trends at the Japan Currents Symposium 2023 presented by the Japan-America Society of Indiana on Wednesday, March 15th, in the Grand Hall of Union Station, downtown Indianapolis. The program is presented in cooperation with the National Association of Japan-America Societies (NAJAS) and the Embassy of Japan.

The Japan Currents Symposium (also known as “the Update”), now in its thirteenth year, is JASI’s largest public affairs offering. The program is made possible by corporate sponsorship and through grant funding from the Embassy of Japan. JASI is reaching out to invite you to consider becoming a Corporate Sponsor of the event. Corporate sponsors are featured in printed and online communications as well as recognition from the podium the day of the event. Sponsors also receive complimentary admissions to the program. Thank you for your consideration of supporting this year’s event!

We’re honored to welcome Shuji Onizawa, Indiana Auto Plant Lead, Honda Development and Manufacturing of America, in his first remarks with the Japan-America Society of Indiana. We’re pleased to join with Honda in showcasing the Fifteenth Anniversary of Honda in Indiana.

Consul-General of Japan Hiroshi Tajima of the Consulate General of Japan in Chicago which serves a ten-state region including Indiana, will give the opening address.

Hiroyuki Nemoto, Chief Executive Director of JETRO Chicago, will give his first remarks with JASI in presenting key data from the JETRO Survey of Japan Businesses.

Thomas Shiekman, Senior Vice President for the Automotive & Mobility Practice of Intralink, an international business development and innovation consultancy specializing in Asia, will speak to Global Trends in the Automotive Industry.

Panel presentations will showcase Japan-invested businesses in Indiana which involve new technologies and movement towards sustainable processes. Corporate panelists to be announced soon.

JASI’s annual business conference is a signature event in the Midwest, providing a business and international relations outlook for the year, with discussion of important developments for Japan and Indiana. The event draws business, community, government, and economic development leaders from throughout the state and the Midwest region.

Again, we thank you for consideration of supporting this year’s Japan Currents Symposium as a Corporate Sponsor, and we hope you will join us at the event on March 15th!

Sincerely yours,
